Research Scholar (PhD Candidate)

Thesis Title: Representation of Reality in the Fiction of Umberto Eco and Orhan Pamuk

About

I am interested in Cultural Studies, Postcolonial and Subaltern Criticism and Critical Theory.

I completed my Bachelor's in Literature, with first class honors, from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University and proceeded to do an MA from the same institute. I have an MPhil from Stella Maris College, Madras University, and am currently enrolled as a PhD candidate at IIT Bombay. My thesis studies the representation of reality in select novels of Umberto Eco and Orhan Pamuk.

Teaching is one of my passions. I am currently co-handling a preparatory course, which teaches English language and communication to undergraduates, at IIT Bombay. I hope to enter the academic discipline, post PhD, and take up teaching assignments. I also enjoy writing, though I am not much of a creative writer.

My hobbies include reading and painting. I also enjoy traveling, though in comfort :)
